TABLE provides weekly emergency food aid to children in Chapel Hill and Carrboro, including healthy non-perishable and fresh produce. TABLE is committed to feeding local elementary school children at risk for hunger. The organization has three hunger relief programs: Weekend Meal Backpack Program, Summer TABLE and SnackChef.

For many, a $10 or $20 cut in the monthly food budget would be absorbed with little notice. But for millions of poor Americans who rely on food stamps, reductions that began in November 2013 present awful choices.

Feeding America is a network of more than 200 member food banks that support 61,000 food assistance agencies, such as food pantries, soup kitchens, emergency shelters and food service programs.
